Time is lost after each outage
« on: February 16, 2014, 06:49:47 PM »
Each time that we have a power outage, the time on my TED 5000 is reset back to Jan 1st 2000. Even if the NTP server is there. Having outage is pretty common in my area and the time was always back on track after power recovery for more than 2 years.

This problem is new from 1 or 2 months back. I have check and do have the latest firmware.

What could be the issue ?

Thanks

Sounds like a dead internal battery in the Gateway.

Thanks.   I just had exactly the same problem.  Power went out for 2 hours, and now clock is stuck.

So the Gateway has a regular CR2032 battery internally, and like all non-rechargable batteries, it has a finite lifespan?

Update:  I kludged in a new 2032 battery, and problem seems to be resolved, at least until the batttery dies again.
