Power Surges - How well do the TED's hold up?
« on: August 05, 2011, 04:18:20 AM »
we get a lot here in the Bahamas. does anyone know how the TED's hold up to them? we usually have to plug our appliances and especially our computers into a voltage regulator.

FWIW, I experienced a mains power surge some months ago which fried my whole house surge protector (!) and took out a couple of electronic devices in my house. My TED did not turn a hair. YMMV.

awesome thanks...that the ted held up that is...sorry bout the power surge. I use a voltage regulator with my pc and some other appliances...has a built in battery. surge protectors dont work well but the voltage regs do. tested teds on voltage regs and surge protectors and the teds work plugged into them..
