Still No Weather Update
« on: October 07, 2011, 07:00:32 AM »
... with the latest firmware updates (R469 / R245) and fixes suggested here so far.

Turning off DHCP and adding 8.8.8.8 as DNS, port forwarding port 80 to the TED5000, resetting to all zeroes, unplugging gateway, then plugging it back in, singly or altogether, and still the weather data remains blank.  I also tried setting the zip code twice, setting to a different zip code, using lat-long...

However, if I click on the NOAA logo, a new tab opens in the browser to http://www.weather.gov/.

ROUTER; Netgear wndr3700, Windows 7, Firefox 3.6.23

Same thing happening here. I just recieved my TED 5000, and I've upgraded the firmware to the current, but still no weather. Sure would be nice to have it, or at least give us the option to remove the box altogether.

Same here and I noticed even though I had my zip set correctly the weather zip was 29401.  I went through setting my zip up again in footprints and it shows correctly but no weather still.

Yeah, mine has been void of data for a week or so.  I get the impression that the weather.gov site updated/changed something, and the current TED firmware isn't able to get the info it needs.  There is a note with the new TED bata firmware compensating for the change, but I haven't tried it.  ...waiting for the next official (non-bata) TED firmware release before updating again.

I have updated also to the new firmware, after getting my TED yesterday, and no weather update for me also.  I am in zipcode 62702.

It would be nice to be able to choose between either analog or a digital display for the readouts.

For $250.00 it'd be nice to have a working product.   >:(

This combination of firmware the weather works great.
Gateway Version 1.0.482
Daughterboard Version 1.0.48
Footprints Version 1.0.262
MTU Version 1.0.64

Now I just wish it would report warmer and dryer weather,

Thanks... Missed that one, but after reading the thread I don't think I want to run the beta versions. This system has to many bugs now to add new ones.
