Title: Transfer Data to a Replacement Gateway

The TED Support Team diagnosed that I had a defective gateway and display. I received the replacement equipment and wanted to transfer the configuration and data to the new gateway. I used the following process:
-   Plug in the old gateway
-   Save the system and utility configurations to my browser
-   Plug in the new gateway
-   Restart the browser and open TED5000
-   Go to “EDIT, SYSTEM SETTINGS and the “WRITE TO DEVICE” tab
-   Download the respective system and utilities saved configuration files and restore the old configuration to the new gateway
-   Go to the “PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION” tab and change the serial numbers to that of the new gateway and display.

PROBLEM:  The software doesn’t allow me to change to the new gateway ID#

I have emailed Tech Support, but they do not work after hours.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

The settings files are standard XML text files. After making a backup copy, open the system configuration (systemsettings.xml) file in Notepad (or equivalent) and change the contents of the <GatewayID> and <DisplayID> tags appropriately, save the changes, and then Reset the Gateway to Factory Defaults and load the updated settings file.
