Title: SNMP support for TED 5000?
Post by: barcasmith on December 01, 2014, 10:50:02 AM
Is there a 3rd party application or other option to provide SNMP communications for TED?

Thanks

If you have a Linux machine with the standard SNMP server software, you can use a script launched by SNMPd on Linux to query the TED and return the current readings/counters.  This is called an extension (http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Net-snmp_extensions), you'll need some scripting experience to read data via TED's HTTP API and return it via Net-SNMP.

For more on how this works, see the Net-SNMP manual under "EXTENDING AGENT FUNCTIONALITY"
