TED 1.0 Pro Support / Footprints firmware archive

I recently upgraded the ecc firmware and footprints firmware on my TED6000 PRO.  Now footprints GUI/HTML never responses.  I'm able to get to the http://ted6000/api/fpuploads page and am looking for the version I was originally on which was Release Date: 2/25/2016 - ECC version .696 - Footprints version .700 does anybody have a copy or a link where I can download and get my Footprints working again?

You have a base unit (ECC) failure (same as me).

The MTU is the small box connected into your electric panel. The Spyder is connected to the MTU.

Many people are getting a failed ECC (base unit) but still working MTU's. The TED 2.0 won't use the existing MTU, so we are out of luck.

I will remove my MTU and Spyder from my panel and jus sell them to someone who still has a working ECC (web page unit)

I have the same issue. Ted Pro 6000 with a a dead MTU (boots to red LED, web interface doesn't respond.  I have a Spyder connected to a bunch of circuits etc and don't want to pull my panel apart and disconnect all of these circuits just to replace with something else. Looking for a used MTU. If the "2.0" solution does not reuse my Spyder etc and I have to tear apart my panel anyway then there will be zero benefit to replacing my Ted Pro 6000 with a new TED unit vs. looking at other solutions (will be the same effort to "upgrade").

At this point I'd. happy just replace the dead unit and keep my existing install "working".

Does anyone have a functioning MTU6000 willing to part with?

Unable to make a connection. I have 2 ECCs that exhibit the same LED behavior at power on which leads me to believe the MTU is the faulty part.

No help much from TED. They have no inventory, waiting on new product line during massive chip shortage, anticipated January 2022, and TED Pro v2.0 is not compatible with older models. They put me on a waiting list, but there's no telling how that will work out. Without it, the rest of the system is useless except for parts.

Looking for help from the forum. Send email to birdfeedr at verizon.net, the forum messaging system is not working for me.

Based on bits here and there, I surmise that the original TED company is under new management.
Forum software is in need of an update, which is planned.

I also suspect that with currently over 76,000 forum members, the guest status was a result of trying to trim inactive accounts do to spamming. My account was inactive for a few years.

I have tested and confirmed inability to send a message since the forum does not recognize me as an existing member.

Until then, I would appreciate if you would email me a copy of the TED5000 API documentation to birdfeedr at verizon.net

I intended to replace my TED5000 for a Pro Home because ability to monitor specific circuits with the Spyder.
Purchased last November but it ended up sitting in the box waiting for a RoundTuit.
Installed it and found the MTU is faulty, and there are none available. The next option is to wait until January for their new model.
This is less than ideal.

So. I'm stuck with a dead MTU6000, and an unsupported TED5000.

Is the TED5000 API documentation still available?

The MTU has 2 internal components. Which one carries the MTU device ID? If it is stored on the main board, then I surmise the daughterboard carries the communications, and if the MTU cannot connect to the ECC, will a daughterboard replacement be the next repair step?

Please note that the TED5000 was discontinued in 2014.

We no longer support this product due to a number of incompatibilities outside of the TED system itself. We’ve seen issues that we simply cannot support deriving from Web browsers, Operating Systems, OS updates and even new routers on the market that are incompatible with

You can also try updating to the latest firmware. The most up to date versions should be as follows: Gateway version is 499 and the Footprints Version is 281

Instructions to update the firmware
Go into settings and note or make screen shots of MTU and Display IDs (SNs). Save the two attached files. From Advanced, select Update firmware. Browse to the gateway file first and load it. WAIT a good 3 minutes for that file to load, then refresh the page and load the Footprints file in the same manner. Should the Footprints page not load after the gateway file is loaded, type your IP address followed by /api/fpupload to access the image upload page. Browse to the Footprints file and load. It will take a minute or so.
