Duplicate Hourly Data
« on: March 16, 2017, 12:09:56 PM »
I have just moved from TED5000 to TED Pro. I have a program interface that I've written that uses the XML API and have made the modifications to to allow me to interface with TED Pro. I have recently had several instances of getting duplicate hourly data in the XML. The data export shows the same duplication as well, examples from the data export are shown below:

Load   3/15/2017 11:00   2.684   0.27
Load   3/15/2017 10:00   0.923   0.09
Load   3/15/2017 10:00   0.901   0.09
Load   3/15/2017 9:00   2.091   0.21
PV   3/15/2017 11:00   -2.779   -0.27
PV   3/15/2017 10:00   -4.364   -0.43
PV   3/15/2017 10:00   -4.367   -0.43
PV   3/15/2017 9:00   -2.697   -0.26

As you can see the data is duplicated for both MTUs, the timestamp is the same but the values are slightly different. I am seeing two or three instances of this happening per day. Has anyone else seen this?

I think it's a problem with your specific device, rather than a symptom of a general hardware or firmware issue. I certainly hadn't noticed this in my data dumps, and I just 'exported' the hourly data for my Utility MTU, and saw no duplicated timestamps for the entire three month period. I would raise a ticket, if I were you. Parenthetically, and not relevant to your current problem, the XML API is very compute-intensive for the ECC. It's almost certainly OK if you are only getting hour data that way, but I wouldn't use it to poll for minute or second data - you might end up with missing data points.
